Mushrooms & More is a distributor of all varieties of high quality mushrooms and truffles mostly to restaurants in and around New York City. Our patrons are chefs who demand high quality at a reasonable price = value. When they, the best chefs in the area, place orders, they feel confident of receiving the best mushrooms that are available on the market. Most of our products are supplied by small companies who can deliver what we call "Hans Quality", after Hans Johansson's demanding standards.
The "More" part is seasonal wild foods, such as Ramps, Fiddlehead Ferns, Berries, Nettles, and local, organic or unusual produce that we find exceptionally good.
About Hans Johansson
Hans Johansson founded Mushrooms & More in 1983 and still owns and operates it. Hans got hooked on picking wild mushrooms and berries growing up in Sweden. After graduating with a degree in Economics and Business from the University of Gothenburg, he traveled the America's and ended up in New York City. His aim has always been to run a small, ethical company delivering high quality and value.
